2 days – 8 participants
Are you wasting time in meetings that are unfocused, unstructured, poorly organized and badly run? Simply Facilitating ensures meeting facilitators do their prep-work quickly and efficiently, and know how to manage the time and the people to ensure there’s clear, relevant and workable outcomes to every meeting.
Three things, beyond the topic, you’ll need a good knowledge of before you enter the room: the objective of the meeting; the participants who will be involved; and the environment and equipment at your disposal.
The setup can make or break the meeting. Your opening words needs to Inform, Excite, Empower and Involve.
How you phrase a question to the group will determine the quality of the discussion. ‘What do you think the problems are?’ will generate a different discussion to ‘what do you think the top 3 problems are?’ or ‘if you could wave your magic wand, what is the one thing you would change?’
"A practical training course that gave me new skills I can use immediately, both in 1-on-1 and group meetings. The difference between presentation and facilitation techniques; understanding my role as facilitator; and having a structure to work with will enable me to create the right environment to reach the desired end result.
Knowing I am fully prepared in advance of the meeting gives me enormous confidence that my future sessions will be enjoyable for the attendees and more importantly, results driven.” HR Manager, International FMCG company
