Are you wasting time in meetings that are unfocused, unstructured, poorly organized and badly run? Simply Facilitating ensures meeting facilitators do their prep-work quickly and efficiently, and know how to manage the time and the people to ensure there’s clear, relevant and workable outcomes to every meeting.
You aren’t there to lead. You’re there to set up the environment so people can figure it out for themselves.
Agree on your definition of consensus. A useful one is ‘I can live with it and I will support it’.
If you let the dominators dominate, you’ll lose the engagement, trust and valuable input from others. Managing the vocal, and drawing out the quieter personalities, are MUST HAVE skills for any facilitator.
"A practical training course that gave me new skills I can use immediately, both in 1-on-1 and group meetings. The difference between presentation and facilitation techniques; understanding my role as facilitator; and having a structure to work with will enable me to create the right environment to reach the desired end result.
Knowing I am fully prepared in advance of the meeting gives me enormous confidence that my future sessions will be enjoyable for the attendees and more importantly, results driven.” HR Manager, International FMCG company
