Attending Carolyn Crawford’s online workshop ‘Presenting to the Max’ has been a valuable experience. It was timely information as I was preparing a workshop and am planning several presentations in the future. Not all information is relevant to my business as a sole practitioner in the health industry but what was there, I eagerly put into practice. The step by step guide is clear and easy to follow. Thank you Carolyn

Carole Draper

Presenting to the Max, was just what the doctor ordered.  It's not cluttered with overwhelming out of spectrum ideas, it's straight to the point and extremely easy to manipulate into virtually any scenario, be it everyday conversations with folk on the street or presenting my newfound business ideas to prospective clientele.

The principals can be used in job applications, product presentation or similar, not to mention high end corporate projects. Its uses are limitless really. It's about information and how to deliver that information, without stress or unnecessary jargon. I wouldn't have been confident in approaching my new clients without having participated in Carolyn’s program.

I now have a fresh approach and newfound sense of confidence. Thank you for passing your knowledge on Carolyn.

Carolyn Crawford's 'Simply Presenting gives you the tools to create a filing system for the inside of your brain, allowing you to organise your thoughts into a well oiled presentation. Through working with Carolyn and utilising the methods in her book and online webinar series I've been able to put together a full program for a series of workshops. An amazing program I would highly recommend.

I have found the Presenting To The Max book and online program to be really useful - the comic strip was a really enjoyable way to digest the information and nice to know that you didn't have to absorb huge chunks of texts to understand the message. The videos too were easy to follow and it was great that it really honed into one topic and it was extremely logical.

The presentation went very, very well and had to end it after 40 minutes with the questions still being asked. I was really surprised I could talk for that long and I wasn't nervous. I did not expect that! I got great feedback and people appreciated my honesty. Everything flowed, people were laughing and really seemed to get what I was saying. I'm still so surprised that I could speak and not get nervous. THANK YOU Carolyn! I am SO Grateful

I previously completed the F2F presentation course as part of the Telstra future leaders program. I found it to be one of the highlights of the program, and walked away with a solid framework for presentations, and even in planning for key stakeholder meetings or workshops to ensure message and outcomes were top of mind.

That being said, the ‘Presenting To The Max’ book, videos, audio and worksheets take it to another level, with additional resources that support all learning preferences and assists with embedding the key principles.

Also, as we all struggle for time, being able to control the tempo of the learning, such as replaying, fast forwarding or selecting modules you require quickly, is a great feature, especially as a refresher.

I found all content easy to understand, and the comic style book supported and aligned to the video content. The worksheets are great, and allow the theory to be used quickly in a well-structure framework. Discussing the softer skills, such as managing nerves, being flexible and how to deal with questions I thought was a good inclusion.

Overall, I think this style of learning would benefit those new to presenting, or requiring a refresher.

Again, thank you for the opportunity to participate, I have enjoyed the course and definitely take away learnings that I will incorporate into future presentations, meetings or workshops.

Your training has made my life so much easier. I am getting more out of my presentations because I now know how to target the audience with relevant information and "selling" points. Your Presentation Planner really made me think about the "essence" that I wanted to bring out. If you could see the first attempt, I had things in the reverse order that they ended up being - but because I had written them down and could look at them on the one page, that essence jumped out and I could see what the Key Points really were and it all made better sense.
I have been writing and giving presentations for about thirty years and getting frustrated by too much stuff. I would do several re-writes trying to get to the core issues but always hindered by related but superfluous information. Your training offer was the perfect "gift" that I needed to fine-tune and focus my knowledge and experience. I am sorry I missed the webinars but your training tools alone hit the mark perfectly for my situation.
I still think that for someone who has limited experience with public speaking or writing presentations then your webinar content and mentoring would be advisable if not essential.

Carolyn has a way of brining the best out in people. Her method is very practical and relevant, and easy to implement, yet it’s powerful, in that it helps you combine ‘what to say’ with ‘how to say it’. I’ve found the structure and her guidance on how to really connect with an audience valuable in my business. Be it meetings, or pitching for business, it works extremely well! I’d recommend it wholeheartedly!!!

Loved the online course. As someone who spent all of primary and high school petrified of raising my hand in class let alone public speaking, I feel everyone should do an activity like this in their life.

Thanks again for letting me take part I've been using it all daily.

There are half a dozen key myths about presenting...
that are widespread, deeply engrained and cause untold amounts of anxiety for thousands of people across the planet.

The myths go like this:

  1. Presenting is a formal event
  2. I must change my communication style to fit the mould
  3. I must be bigger, louder, stronger, more powerful
  4. I must be more formal, appropriate and stiff
  5. I must be serious, straight-faced and straight-laced to be seen as professional and credible
  6. In short, I can’t be me. I must add to, subtract from or change my personality in some way to present ‘correctly’.

Do you want to know a secret though?
In fact, do you want to know the big three?

Secret 1

There is no ‘correct’ way. There is only YOUR way, and the sooner we debunk the myth of ‘getting it right, doing it appropriately and putting on a mask’ the sooner you can get on with the business of relaxing, being yourself and getting in flow.

Secret 2

You are at your most powerful and effective when you are speaking in daily meetings and discussions with your natural levels of conviction, clarity, concern, excitement, thoughtfulness, warmth and humour. If you add to, subtract from or change that in any way, you detract from, rather than enhance, your professionalism and effectiveness.

Secret 3

All you need to stand out from the crowd, cut through with your message, move your audience to clarity and action and feel truly confident, are some tiny tweaks - small, simple tools and techniques that will sky-rocket your ease, poise, effectiveness and persuasiveness.

The ‘Simply Presenting’ video training series, along with our ‘Presenting To The Max’ book, are guaranteed to do two things stunningly well, to have you feel more confident, calm and in control.

  1. They equip you with the most simple, effective and elegant planning tools in the world to get you focused, structured and exquisitely clear about your flow of content
  2. So that you can be absolutely authentic and present on the day to ensure maximum presence, rapport and cut-through.

Hi, I’m Carolyn,

After 10 years in stockbroking I moved into the world of corporate training and have specialised in presentation skills development for over 20 years since. For the most part I’ve worked with large corporations and government departments in Australia including: adidas, Dept of Treasury & Finance, First State Super, Freehills, General Mills, Hallmark, Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Mars, Nike, Pilkington, PricewaterhouseCoopers, TAL, Telstra, Treasury Corporation of Victoria, Victoria Auditor General’s Office and VicRoads among many others.

Over this last two decades I’ve taken tools that were already proven in the rigours of corporate boardrooms and meeting rooms, and honed both the techniques and teaching, to create, what clients tell me, is one of the most powerful tool-kits available for creating maximum shifts in confidence and impact, in minimal time.

Ultimately, it is my life’s mission to rid this planet of one of the top 3 most common, insidious and unnecessary fears that people have – that of public speaking and presenting – to create a world with less anxiety, self-doubt and stress. I’ve created this series therefore, to bring the best of the best presentation skills training, in an affordable and accessible format, for the vast web of small businesses who don’t always have access to these tools, but for whom presenting is equally critical for success.
