After 10 years in stockbroking, studying the markets and listening to countless CEO and CFO presentations, I became absorbed by the question of why competitors in the same industry succeeded or failed and what successful businesses had in common.  I find the interplay of systems, structures, strategy, people and culture fascinating and how small tweaks and simple changes can often make a huge difference.  

In particular I became extremely curious about the role of communication, the difference it makes to internal and external stakeholder engagement and the advantage that can be gained when an organisation is more clear, concise, focused, open, authentic and influential in its daily communication than its competition.

As a result I have dedicated 20 years of my career to this specialisation and have continually sought to develop my knowledge and understanding of business and personal communications, as well as my skills as a facilitator, to ensure we optimise every  participant’s presentation, influencing and communication skills, in an enjoyable and sustainable way.  

In short, I’m passionate about supporting our clients’ businesses improve their results by offering world class training that develops individuals’ communication so they can maximise their capacity and impact on the business.

Being an excellent communicator means being able to handle, elegantly and effectively, a full range of business communications from board level presentations to individual staff concerns.

Becoming an excellent communicator is not so much a function of learning more sophisticated or clever techniques, but the result of practicing and polishing a few core skills to an exceptional level. Just as Valentino Rossi, Tiger Woods and Rafael Nadal are not applying different skills to the average motorcyclist, golfer or tennis player, but applying the core skills at the highest levels, so masterful communication is a function of ‘doing the basics... brilliantly!’
